pawnshop-ghost replied to your post: Hey, Sona! My friend is going to Armenia and he actually invited me to come along with him! Sadly, I do not have a job. lol. Otherwise, I would. But he showed me this amazing video “Armenia in 8 Minutes”? I think that’s what it’s called, and now I really want to go! He says he’s convinced every Armenian girl is amazingly beautiful. haha And I agree!
I do in fact love temples and ruins and ancient churches! haha I really love ‘old world’ places. Where they still have street markets and you can just TASTE the dust. I dunno. I’m weird. >.< And you’re welcome, you’re a very lovely lady. :)
Practically everything in Armenia is old.
We still use buildings from the Soviet times and even the streets are pretty dusty sometimes although it’s getting better. Since we were the first official country to accept Christianity, our churches are one of the oldest churches ever. We have ruins older than that, a really famous Pagan temple dedicated to the Sun and others.
If you go out of the city, the road signs are still pretty rusty and Soviet-y.
There is a bad side to all that though. We’re a pretty….tired nation :’)
